We Are a Direct Carrier — Not a Broker

Centex Transport Co., LLC is an owner-operator motor carrier. When you book us, your load moves on our truck and our trailer — not through a chain of unknown subcontractors.

What is a freight broker?

A freight broker arranges transportation between a shipper and a carrier but typically does not operate trucks. Brokers can add value when you need broad market coverage — but they also add a layer between you and the driver actually picking up the freight.

What is a direct motor carrier?

A motor carrier holds operating authority and runs its own equipment (or legally leased equipment under its authority). A direct carrier relationship means you are contracting with the entity that will physically haul the load — clearer accountability, fewer handoffs, and no “surprise” third truck in the chain.

Why shippers care (especially for hotshot)

Hotshot and flatbed loads are often high-touch: tight windows, deck loading, photos, tarps, chains, and phone updates. When the person you text is the same operator on the hook for pickup and delivery, communication stays direct and honest. That is the model we run from Austin.

Double brokering — what to watch for

Double brokering happens when a load is re-brokered without transparency — creating insurance, liability, and tracking problems. Reputable shippers ask for carrier identity up front and verify USDOT and insurance before pickup. We encourage that diligence.

Verify Centex Transport

We operate under USDOT 4451038 and MC-1754017. Look up our carrier snapshot on the FMCSA SAFER system — the same source your insurance or compliance team uses. If you need a certificate of insurance, ask when you book.
