Hotshot & flatbed · Fifth-wheel/RV · Austin-based
What We Haul
Ram 3500 dually with 40’ gooseneck flatbed and megaramps — freight and equipment to 17,500 lbs. Chevy 1500 with 20’ tilt-deck for vehicles and light equipment. Fifth-wheels towed behind the dually on a proper hitch. One owner-operator, one phone number, flat-rate pricing — text what you need moved and get a straight answer.
Hotshot & Gooseneck
Ram 3500 one-ton dually, fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch, with a 40’ gooseneck flatbed and megaramps — built for freight and equipment up to 17,500 lbs. Faster than traditional LTL for time-critical freight, machinery, pallets, and dense cargo that needs a heavy deck and easy ramp loading. For fifth-wheel & trailer relocations, we tow or match the job to the right rig.
Flatbed Loads
Oversized pallets, steel, lumber, pipe, and cargo that won’t fit in a dry van. Strapped, blocked, and tarped to DOT standards — matched to the right trailer for the job. Moving a fifth-wheel or camper? See fifth-wheel & RV transport for what to text when you need a quote.
Direct & Dedicated
Your freight, our truck — no terminals, no handoffs. One driver from pickup to delivery with real-time updates and a single point of contact.
Vehicles & Equipment Moves
Chevy 1500 paired with a 20’ tilt-deck car hauler and winch — ideal for cars, light trucks, ATVs, and small equipment that need a gentle load angle or a winch assist.
On the Road
Our equipment, our loads — Central Texas hotshot and flatbed, direct from our yard to your job site or dock.
Why Direct Carrier Matters
Dispatch, safety, or AP? Shipper & dispatcher facts — USDOT, COI, equipment summary.
No Middleman Markup
When you book through a broker, a cut of your freight spend goes to the middleman — not to the truck moving your cargo. Working direct means your rate reflects the actual cost of the move.
Faster Response
No quoting queue, no broker relay. Text “Hotshot” and get a real answer within minutes — from the team that will be on the truck.
Accountability You Can Name
One phone number, one team. When you call Centex, you’re talking to the people who will be behind the wheel — not a dispatcher three states away.

USDOT registered, FMCSA-authorized motor carrier with active cargo and liability coverage. Our drivers hold CDLs, are enrolled in random drug testing, and carry TWIC cards for secure-facility access when the job requires it. Documentation available on request.

Common Questions
What is hotshot trucking?
Hotshot trucking is a freight-hauling method where a heavy-duty pickup (Class 3–5 dually) pulls a flatbed trailer to move time-sensitive or partial loads. It is faster and more flexible than booking a full semi, making it popular for construction materials, equipment, and expedited freight.
What can you haul?
Construction materials, machinery, steel, pipe, lumber, palletized freight, and heavy equipment on the Ram 3500 dually with 40’ gooseneck flatbed and megaramps (up to 17,500 lbs). Fifth-wheels we tow behind our dually on a fifth-wheel hitch. Other travel trailers and toy haulers we may schedule when the job fits—text photos and dimensions. We also move cars, light trucks, ATVs, and smaller equipment on our tilt-deck car hauler. If you’re not sure, text us a photo.
Are you a broker?
No. Centex Transport is an owner-operator direct carrier. Your freight moves on our truck — no middlemen, no re-brokering.
Do you have insurance and authority?
Yes. We are USDOT registered and FMCSA-authorized with active cargo and auto liability coverage. We can provide a certificate of insurance on request.
What about your drivers?
Our drivers hold commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs), are enrolled in a random drug-testing consortium, and carry TWIC cards for access to secure ports and related facilities when the job requires it.
How fast can you pick up?
Same-day and next-day pickups are common in the Austin metro and Central Texas corridor. Timing depends on current schedule and your location — text us for a straight answer on availability.
How do I verify your DOT and authority?
Look up USDOT 4451038 on the FMCSA’s SAFER system — same data insurers and shippers use. Open our carrier snapshot on FMCSA SAFER (opens in a new tab).
Can I get a certificate of insurance (COI)?
Yes. We can provide a certificate of insurance listing your company as certificate holder when you’re ready to book — text or call with your load details and RMIS/insurance contact if your team uses one.
When are you available?
Text and phone are the fastest way to reach us. If you message outside business hours, we’ll reply as soon as we’re back on the road or at the desk — for urgent loads, say so in your text.
Do you provide proof of delivery (POD)?
Yes. We confirm delivery in line with how you book the load — tell us if your customer or ops team needs a specific format (signed BOL, photo at dock, or timestamp note).
Can you handle urgent or after-hours pickups?
Text or call with urgent in the message when the clock matters. Same-day and next-day pickups are common in Central Texas when the route and schedule line up; we’ll give you a straight answer on timing.
How does invoicing and payment work?
Terms are confirmed when you book. If your AP team needs a W-9, COI, or other onboarding packet, tell us up front and we’ll align paperwork before or right after the first load.
How do we add Centex as a recurring carrier?
Save our USDOT 4451038 and contact number, verify the carrier on FMCSA SAFER, request a COI with your company as certificate holder if required, then route repeat loads through text or call — you’re always reaching the operator directly.
